Stuard Shepard of Focus on the Family encouraged people to pray for rain to ruin Obama's speech at the DNC. Guess he sort of got his wish with Gustav. Oops.

Oh man, that praying for rain thing is ridiculous. I know in my middle school years, I prayed for some pretty trivial things.
But, in my defense I never solicited others to join me in praying that I did not get diarrhea “today, tonight, tomorrow, tomorrow night”
That “today, tonight, tomorrow, tomorrow night” clause was in there in case I forgot to pray one day– I was already protected from the horrors of diarrhea from the day before!

Is there a patron saint of diarrhea prevention?
By doranchak on Sep 5, 2008
Probably! There is one for toothaches and another for skin conditions.

Whoa! There is a patron saint of venereal diseases. St. Fiacre

The list of patronages in Wikipedia for St. Fiacre is hilarious:
“Patronage: Gardeners; taxi cab drivers; venereal disease sufferers; barrenness; box makers; fistula; florists; haemorrhoids; hosiers; pewterers; tile makers; ploughboys.”
