I wish I had the spare cash to spring for one of these. Though, the “Mini” models are somewhat affordable (less than $100).
I found about about the artist from Make Magazine’s video podcast.

well, if i had $1000 to spend on a lamp, this is where i’d go…
or $400 to spend on a 3.5 inch sculpture

I can’t wait to be able to buy one of those machines that can just print to reality instead of paper!
Then, the p2p networks will be filled up with pirated 3D models of objects that we can all pilfer and enjoy.
